Rooted in the Inland Empire. Built for the People Who Need It Most.
Education That Meets You Where You Are
Verity Life Training is a nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access to career education, workforce training, and life skills development for underserved communities in the Inland Empire.
We provide affordable, community-centered training programs designed to remove barriers to employment and create clear pathways to sustainable careers, economic stability, and improved quality of life. Our programs are specifically built to serve adults who are rebuilding their lives — including individuals exiting substance use rehabilitation programs, young mothers, and justice-involved individuals — as well as anyone in San Bernardino and Riverside Counties who faces barriers to traditional career pathways.
We believe that a person's past does not define their professional future. Every participant who walks through our doors deserves access to real education, a supportive community, and a genuine path forward.
Our Mission
We equip people in the Inland Empire rebuilding their lives with career education, professional community, and the support to finish what they start — turning recovery into a launching pad for lasting opportunity.
Our Vision
Verity Life Training envisions an Inland Empire where a person's past does not define their professional future — where every individual who has walked through recovery has access to meaningful career pathways, a community that believes in them, and the tools to build a stable, self-determined life.
We envision a region where career education and workforce opportunities are not gatekept from those who have struggled, but actively designed to welcome and retain them.
The Need
In the Inland Empire, thousands of individuals complete substance use treatment every year — and then face the same cliff: no job, no credential, no clear path forward, and a system that was not designed with them in mind.
The result is predictable. Without stable employment, relapse risk rises. Without community, isolation grows. Without a credential, employers close doors before conversations begin. Young mothers face the added weight of childcare, housing instability, and the pressure of providing for their children while rebuilding their own lives. Justice-involved individuals face additional barriers that make traditional educational pathways even harder to access.
Verity Life Training exists to close this gap — with career education programs, wrap-around support, and a community built to help participants not just start, but finish and succeed.
What We do
Career Pathway Training
We provide affordable, short-term certification programs in high-demand fields. Our programs are designed to be completed in a realistic timeframe, lead to recognized credentials, and connect directly to employment opportunities in the Inland Empire.
Current programs include:
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Short courses in Business Skills, Leadership, and Employability
- Environmental Health and Safety
- Mental Health and Well-being
As Verity Life Training grows, additional career pathways will be introduced to meet the evolving workforce needs of our community.
Wrap-Around Support Services
We know that life does not pause while you are in school. Every participant has access to:
- Case management and check-ins throughout the program
- Peer mentorship from alumni who understand the journey
- Childcare resources and referrals for parents
- Transportation guidance and assistance
- Job search support, resume help, and interview preparation
- Crisis support and referrals to community resources
We do not just train people for jobs. We help them stay enrolled, complete their programs, and transition successfully into the workforce.
Community and Alumni Network
At Verity Life Training, graduating is the beginning — not the end. Our alumni become part of a permanent community of professionals who understand where they came from and where they are going.
We measure success by where participants are at 30, 90, and 180 days after graduation — not just by whether they enrolled. Alumni are invited to return as peer mentors, community connectors, and advocates for the next cohort coming behind them.
Our Commitment
At Verity Life Training, we are committed to:
- Verity (Truth): We are honest with participants, funders, and our community — about what our programs offer, what they require, and how we are performing.
- Dignity: Every person who walks through our doors is treated with full respect. We do not use deficit language. We do not require gratitude. We communicate respect — not charity.
- Possibility: We focus on what participants are becoming, not what they are recovering from. We build forward.
- Community: We build belonging intentionally — through cohort structures, peer mentorship, and alumni networks — because connection is as important as credentials.
- Equity: We design for participants with the most barriers, because if our programs work for them, they work for everyone.
- Accountability: We measure success by outcomes — jobs held, families stabilized, alumni who return as mentors. Our participants are our bosses.
